#DeportChrisBrown: Twitter On Fire As Chris Brown Smashes Woman’s Phone In Kenya
Just like Congolese crooner Koffi Olomide was deported for kicking one of her female dancers at a Kenyan airport, the same measure should be applied to Chris Brown for attacking two women in different occasion today Saturday, October 8 in Mombasa and smashing their phones.
News that American Popstar Chris Brown has arrived in Kenya and has gone on a phone smashing spree have now spread like a bushfire.
The fact that reports indicate he has been snatching phones from people and breaking them just because they want a selfie moment with him should not be taken lightly.Whilst there is nothing wrong with soliciting a photo op with such a music icon, Chris had all the civility to decline such an offer and walk away rather than grab a phone from a fan and destroy it. After all, he has security personnel who can keep such excited fans away.
In the second incident, Chris just walked into a hapless receptionist who was speaking on her mobile phone and grabbed the phone from her, checked if it had a camera then smashed it breaking it to pieces!
I’m waiting for the Kenyan police to arrest and deport Chris Brown just like they did to Congolese crooner Koffi Olomide for viciously kicking one of his dancers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi a few months ago.
Both Chris and Olomide have similar behaviour, riding roughshod on their fans and team members because they are popular and feel they own the entire world.
Chris in 2009 pleaded guilty to felony assault of his then girlfriend and singer Rihanna and was sentenced to five years probation and six months of community service.
On August 31, this year he was arrested on suspicion of assault using a deadly weapon after a woman called for police help from the singer’s house in Los Angeles. Chris has also had several run-ins with the law.
Koffi on the other hand has also exhibited such behaviour and has even faced rape charges.
Celebrities must learn to control their tempers knowing well that fans will always overreact on meeting them.
Humility is also key in life dear Chris and it’s good to know that you will never remain on top of your game forever. Ask Tupac or Mike Tyson etc.
It is a high time Kenya takes a very serious stand on bad behaving celebrities. If you cannot behave while you are in Kenya and respect us, please keep off our land. After all, how much value do such celebrities offer to the country?
Kenyans should also stop being hypocrites and demand for Chris Brown’s deportation in a similar way they did to Koffi’s.
