Discrimination Brought About By Tribal Marks

Nigeria is a country where there are different tribes. As such, indigenes of a particular tribe end up incribing marks on the bodies and faces of their people in the aim of distinguishing and beautifing them. 

On a more serious note, I don’t see any form of beautification rather making the person look ugly and probably scary. 

REASONS OF TRIBAL MARKS

• People get tribal marks as a form of beautification on their faces or on a part of the body and this is common with the Fulanis
• People get tribal marks as a result of sickness they have suffered over times and this is common with the girls from the southeast of Nigeria

The major thing I want to bring about here is the fact that people get discriminated, regarded and probably made jest of due to the heavy mark on their faces. 

DISCRIMINATIONS BROUGHT ABOUT BY TRIBAL MARKS

• People get to insult people bearing this marks due to the fact that they probably end up looking very ugly and unpresentable
• Some people have heavy marks on their faces which is so big and honestly is kind of bad

My advice to people whom want to give marks to their children

• Try making sure that the marks and not placed on very visible parts of the body
• Try making sure that the marks are placed a little and not so much
• And most importantly give tribal marks to children due to a reasonable problem and not on the so sake of “beautification”
