#Rio2016: Breaking news! Blessing Okagbare Wins Gold, Sets New World Record for Nigeria
Blessing Okagbare has done it in Rio de Janiero, becoming the first athlete from Nigeria to win gold medal in the 2016 Olympic Games.
Blessing Okagbare completed the 100 metres in 9:58 seconds. A new world record.
“I’m very happy,” he told reporters. “To be honest, I came here for the gold medal, but it’s crazy. I’m so happy for myself, my team, my coach and my country. I am very satisfied achieving the ultimate. It means a lot to me especially when I competed with the best” she said.
