Drama As Mysterious Coffin Is Found In Front Of Chief’s Palace In Broad Daylight (Photos)
In what will come across as a really weird development, a coffin has been found placed in front of a chief’s palace.
Commotion has taken over Fumesua, a Ghanaian town after a coffin was found in front of a popular chief’s palace.
Chiefs and residents of Fumesua, a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region of Ghana have remained in shock over the discovery of the casket in front of the Chief of Fumesua’s palace.
According to Joy News, no one has so far claimed responsibility for the casket.
Joynews’ Erastus Asare Donkor reports that the chief of Fumesua, Nana Esua Amoako has travelled, but one of the sub-chiefs poured libation before opening the casket in the presence of the police.
The casket, which was then slightly opened upon discovery by some residents of the town contains two bottles of schnapp, black and red calico and a letter allegely from a group by name, Concerned Citizens.
The letter appeals to the town chief, Nana Esua Amoako to consider returning a plot of land used as a cemetery he is alleged to have sold to a private developer without conducting due diligence.
It also said what the private contractor did by assembling heavy machines to “clear the whole site/land and deposited all the sand/mud/and the DEAD BODIES previously buried, and deposited them at an unknown place, is against custom.”
The letter also berates the chief for failing to “perform any RITUALS on the land, which developments are on going.”
This action of the chief and the developer, the group whose leaders are not known, believes is responsible for the death of “children, youth and middle aged citizens of Fumesua.”
An invitation has been thrown to Nana Esua Amoako to attend a meeting of the group which will be taking place on Sunday, July 24, to “support morally and spiritually” discussions.
The sub-chiefs are treating this as a spiritual issue and have called for a meeting to look into the matter.
