Leicester Table Fresh N5bn Bid For Ahmed Musa

AHMED MUSA is the subject of a £23m (about N5 billion) bid by Premier League champions Leicester City, according to his current manager.
The Foxes were linked with a move for the CSKA Moscow striker in January but a bid did not materialise. Now, according to CSKA boss Leonid Slutskiy, Leicester have made a firm offer for the Nigerian.
The 23-year old scored 18 goals for the Russian champions in all competitions this season, including four in the Champions League.
Speaking to Match TV, Slutskiy revealed Leicester had made a move: “The British club offered a bit less than €30m (£23m),” he said.
“Musa came to me a few days ago and asked when [Claudio Ranieri] is back for the holidays and I told him I do not know, I do not know Ranieri.”
Leicester are believed to have not been willing to meet the club’s £18m asking price in January.
The Nigeria international is currently holidaying has been excused from the Super Eagles who are facing Mali and Luxembourg to feature in the Yobo Joseph Testimonial in Port Harcourt. Musa has scored 11 goals for the Eagles in 57 appearances.
