Checkout Epic Throwback Photo of Queen Elizabeth With Oba of Benin
An epic throwback photo showing the present Queen of England meeting the then Oba of Benin, has turned up online.
The epic photo shows Queen Elizabeth, who just
clocked 90 on Thursday, April 21, 2016 » , exchanging greetings with the Oba of Benin, far back in 1956.
The Oba of Benin, dressed in full traditional regalia, can be seen almost bowing fully as he shakes the hand of the queen.
The meeting seems to have taken place at what looks like a stadium as officials close to both authorities watch on.
Considering the fact that the black and white photo was taken prior to Nigeria’s Independence in 1960, the subservient pose can be excused.
