Outstanding Iheanacho Shines As Man City Crushes Vietnam 8-1
Nigeria’s Manchester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, was a delight to watch in his team’s 8-1 pre-season defeat of Vietnam on Tuesday.
Although the former Nigerian U-17 prodigy, who featured in a three-pronged attack for the English giants in the pre-season friendly match did not get a goal against his name, he was instrumental to one of Raheem Sterling’s goals during the encounter.
His deft touches on the ball did not also go unnoticed, as he proved to the manager, Manuel Pelligrini, that he deserves a place in the first team for the new season.
Iheanacho, spotting jersey number 72 for Manchester City, contributed majorly to the team’s overall performance in the routing of the Asian team’s national side.
The youngster, who combined well with Sterling, was also instrumental to Man City’s win over Roma about a week ago.
