Two Pastors Sentenced To 7 Years Imprisonment Each For Stealing N32 Million
A Delta State High Court sitting in Warri has sentenced two clergymen to seven years imprisonment each for stealing N32 million from investors in a wonder bank.
They convicts are Pastor Glory Abrefera and Reverend Vincent Okpogu.
Convicting the accused on the nine-count charge levelled against them by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, trial judge, Justice F. Ohwo sentenced them to seven years imprisonment on each count with the sentence to run concurrently.
According to the prosecutor, Mr. G. Latona, “both accused are still answering to other charges before another state high court sitting in Otor-Udu for related offences.”
The clerics were arrested on allegation of deceiving members of the public into investing in Mustard Seed Micro Investment Limited, a wonder bank, where they were said to have defrauded the investors.
Justice Owho held that they would serve the term at Okere Prisons in Warri, Delta State.
