MIRACLE: Newborn Baby Survives After Being Buried Alive For 2 Hours
A miracle baby girl has survived being buried alive for two hours after her parents believed she was stillborn, Dongdong, northeast China’s Liaoning Province.
The unbelievable story started when Lu Xiaoyun was working on the farm and suddenly experienced sharp stomach pains and strong contractions. After awhile she gave birth to a stillborn girl – at least the grieving mother thought so.
The woman called her husband, who rushed back home from work to find her in a pool of blood. He immediately took her to local hospital but somehow nursing stuff failed to check on the baby.
The mother of the baby Lu Xiaoyun, thought she had suffered a miscarriage in her fourth month of pregnancy, but the baby was in fact born alive, in the sixth month
A doctor at the hospital prompted that the body should be checked as there might be a chance the girl was alive. When Mr Ye, the husband of the woman, returned to the farm, he was shocked to find that his mother-in-law had already buried the baby girl.
Mr Ye rushed into the yard to dig up the baby, and found that she was still breathing. He took his newborn daughter to the hospital where doctors established that Ms Lu had given birth at six-months pregnant.
Thanks to donations, the family has now been able to afford hospital treatment for the baby
The baby was treated at the hospital for three days, but the family had to discharge their daughter when they couldn’t afford further treatment. However, after Chinese media picked up the story of the miracle baby, news of their plight spread and people began to donate money.
The girl was able to return to hospital where she is being kept in an incubator. Happy parents Lu Xiaoyun and He Yong are now thinking how to name their beloved miracle girl who survived.
