41 Boko Haram Members Killed By Civilian JTF, After Failed Attack on Sabon Gari

Reports coming in from Borno state is that vigilante group, popularly known as Civilian JTF in Borno village, Gur,  have killed 41 Boko Haram members and captured one.
According to Punch, the Boko Haram were killed by a combined team of military men and members of the Civilian JTF  a failed attack on Sabon Gari in Damboa Local Government Area of Borno state
A member of the youth vigilance group in the area, Mala Yusuf who confirmed the killing of the insurgents said they engaged the sect in a gun battle which lasted for about two hours as they pursued the militants from Sabon Gari, in Damboa Local Government to Gur area around Mandafuma village, in Biu Local Government Area.

Mala Yusuf further said that: “The vigilance beheaded the insurgents after the shootout and took their heads to Biu to show the people that the Boko Haram insurgents are human and not some beasts and so, people should not fear them but to join hands with security operatives to ensure that the sect, who are enemies of Islam and the people of Nigerians, are defeated.”

Speaking on how the Civilian JTF , Mala Yusuf further said they went after the Boko Haram members after they heard of their planned attack in Sabon Gari, where people were just returning back home after three months of being displaced.

“We were able to repell them and seeing that they headed towards Mandafuma in Biu Local Government, we went after them and we were able to ambush them at Gur.”
Recall recently, it was reported that about 8o members of the sect have been killed by youths and vigilantes in Muchika  and Madagali local government of the state on Tuesday night, September 9.
