'Mourinho is Partial'- Demba Ba
Demba Ba, ex- Chelsea centre-forward who is now with Besiktas has accused Jose Mourinho of not giving him a fair chance to prove himself at Stamford Bridge.
Speaking with Daily Mail, the Senegal striker, who joined Besiktas in the summer after struggling to get regular playing time at Stamford Bridge, with the signing of Diego Costa from Atletico Madrid further blocking his path to the starting XI revealed that Mourinho is more concerned with his reputation than statistics.
Ba, who managed to score some crucial goals in Chelsea, complained that he was often left playing second fiddle to Fernando Torres.
“Sometimes when you are at a club with a lot of big stars, the name counts for more than the statistics. Unfortunately, it was like that in my case. But I am happy I moved from Newcastle to Chelsea and achieved what I did. I have lots of friends there. Eden Hazard is one of my best friends, I am close to Branislav Ivanovic, too. All my wishes are for them to win the league” Ba said
Ba’s side will be playing Arsenal in Tuesday’s Champions League play-off first leg. It would be recalled that the former Newcastle striker came really close to signing a deal with the Gunners before he was swiftly pulled away by Mourinho
