Super Eagles’ midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has reportedly fully recovered from the injury suffered during the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
The footballer was injured by Blaise Matuidi during the match against France, which lead to his removal from the game in the 54th minute.
Loss of Onazi was a big strike for the team in the crucial match and resulted in Nigeria’s elimination from the Mundial.
However the Eagles’ star is back feeling 100% fit, and even better, FC Naija reports with reference to the footballer’s words.
Lazio player has confirmed he was ready and glad to resume training ahead of the new season. He was quoted saying:
“Thanks to God I can confirm to you that I’m ready to go. Back to 110% as usual.”
It would be recalled that Onazi urged FIFA to re-watch the episode and sanction the French player for harsh game. However, the request was followed by no action.
The latest World Cup was characterized by several scandals, including the incident with the Uruguayan player Luis Suarez, who bit the Roberto Chiellini during the game against Italy and was harshly punished by the FIFA with a 4-month ban.
