COMMONWEALTH GAMES: Blessing Okagbare Wins Another Gold For Nigeria
Nigeria’s in-form athlete, Blessing Okagbare, has won another gold medal at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland.
Okagbare won gold in the 200m sprint, finishing in 22.25secs. She had earlier won a gold medal on Tuesday in the 100m, making it two gold medals in the tournament holding in Glasgow.
Okagbare is now the 10th person in history to win both the 100m and the 200m in a Commonwealth Game, and the first woman in 12 years to win both 100 and 200m races.
Nigeria is currently placed eighth on the medals table with eight gold, six silver and 11 bronze medals.
