According to police report, the children were burnt in an uncompleted building over accusations of witchcraft.
The victims described themselves as homeless kids, who had nowhere to go and who found shelter in the uninhabited house on the outskirts of Uyo.
One of the victim Bassy said that her parents have separated, so she was abandoned and sleeps in an uncompleted building. The second victim, Kufre Effiong, calls the street as his home.
The duo was rescued by a Sister from a local Catholic Convent. The Reverend Sister has also made a formal report to the police.
