[PHOTOS]: Notorious Terror Gang Leader and Group Members, Killed Along Jos – Bauchi Highway

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has reported on one more success in their war against terrorism. A notorious leader of a terrorist group, Mallam Husaini, has been killed in a gunfight between a military convoy and his group along Jos – Bauchi highway.
According to DHQ press release, the group of gunmen attacked the military convoy, which was on a patrol mission between Jos and Bauchi.
A Ford minibus, eight Improvised Explosive Devices, pistols, assault rifles, and about 70 rounds of ammunition were recovered from terrorists at the end of the battle.
Husaini headed a terrorist cell which was responsible for serial attacks on security personnel. Their main area of operation was Plateau State.
The group has allegedly been a part of the attack Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad Headquarters in Abuja in November 2012.
The DHQ revealed that Husaini was behind the attack on a military convoy moving from Lokoja to Kaduna. Two soldiers lost their lives in that ambush in January 2013.
In a parallel development, security forces have accomplished a pursuit of terrorist group at Malamfatori, Borno State. The insurgents, who used to operate in various locations along Nigeria – Niger border, were behind the attack on a local police station.
The security officers have recovered the vehicles stolen by the gang. The terrorists were forced to abandon them. Some of the gunmen were able to escape to Niger Republic.
The troops continued their chase and were able to find various items, including uniforms of security organisations, boots, protective gears and other accessories.
