Ondo SSG Tayo Oluwatuyi dies weeks after surviving motor accident
The Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Tayo Oluwatuyi, has passed away a few weeks after surviving an auto crash.
Oluwatuyi, popularly known as ‘Tukana, was said to have been receiving treatment in a hospital Akure before he died.
In December, it was reported that Oluwatuyi was involved in an auto crash along Ife-Ibadan Expressway.
The vehicle he was travelling in was said to have skidded off the road into the bush while the late SSG, who sustained injury, was taken to the intensive care unit of the Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital, Ile-Ife, Osun State.
The Ondo State Government is yet to make an official statement on the incident but a source confirmed the death.
Oluwatuyi was appointed by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in January 2024.
The deceased was also Ondo SSG under late Rotimi Akeredolu’s administration.
