Priest asks rich congregation to give N5K each to struggling members (Video)
In a surprising act of generosity, a priest stunned his congregation by turning the concept of tithing into an opportunity to assist members in financial need with N5K each.
During the service, the priest addressed the congregation and made an unusual request, asking those who had ₦5,000 ready to give as their tithe to come forward.
Several members responded, stepping up to offer their contribution. However, in a sudden shift, the priest then asked those struggling financially and in need of ₦5,000 to step forward as well.
In an inspiring display of generosity and faith, the priest instructed those who had tithe money to give it to those who needed financial help. This unexpected act caught the congregation by surprise, stirring reactions from social media users.
The unidentified priest, who preached about the importance of selflessness and supporting one another, emphasized that tithing should not only be about giving to the church but about helping those in need, especially within the community.
Reactions as a priest encourage giving by redistributing tithe to the needy

ObianujuMenkiti applauded: “I love this. Excellent 💯.. Giving to those who truly need it. As it should BE.. plus i love the technique he used because i can assure you that if he asked them to just randomly give any 1 member the 5k, the number of giver will be low.”
Odogwu_Rico stated: “I think tomorrow if he tries this many of them will not come out to give 5k again 😂.”
benfil_ added: “Most of them will rather come out to give the bishop then to give their fellow member who sincerely needs it.”
