Bandits gun down man in Abuja residence, abduct wife and kids
Bandits invaded a home late on Thursday night, August 29, and fatally shot a man, before kidnapping his wife and children.
The incident happened in the Ushafa Community in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
A police source confirmed the incident to DailyTrust but did not go into details.
Ushafa is one of the communities that have come under attack in the ongoing widespread insecurity in Nigeria.
The development comes after SBM Intelligence, an Africa-focused market/security intel gathering consulting firm, said Nigerians paid N1.048 billion as ransom to kidnappers between July 2023 and June 2024.
