“Are You The Only One Hungry? If You Dare Come Out To Protest, You’ll Be Dealt With” – Suspected Thugs Lament

A viral video has emerged showing suspected threatening Lagos State residents not to participate in the planned hunger protest scheduled for August 1 to 10.

The unidentified men, whose voices were heard but faces not seen, warned market women and men to desist from the protest, claiming it could lead to more destruction than the #EndSARS protest.

According to the report by Punch on Tuesday, the thugs issued a stern warning, saying that anybody that is confident should come out on Thursday to protest.

The suspected thugs questioned the protesters if they are the only ones that are hungry, and vowed to seriously deal with anybody that comes out to protest.

Thugs were heard saying, “Anybody that is confident should come out on Thursday to protest. Are you the only one hungry? If you dare come out to protest, you will be mercilessly dealt with.”

The planned protest aims to draw attention to the economic hardships faced by Nigerians, particularly the rising cost of living and food insecurity.

However, the intimidation tactic has raised concerns about the safety of residents who plan to exercise their right to peaceful protest.
