US singer Ariana Grande to pay ex-husband Dalton Gomez $1.25m as they finalize divorce
American singer-songwriter Ariana Grande is set to pay spousal support to her ex-husband and real estate broker, Dalton Gomez after they finalized their divorce.
Grande and Dalton’s settlement agreement took effect Tuesday at Los Angeles court judgement after hitting six months from the initial divorce filing. The pop star initiated the divorce proceedings on Sept. 18.
Under the agreement, the 30-year-old singer is expected to $1.25 million to her 28-year-old estranged husband, Dalton, with no future alimony, give him half of the proceeds of the sale of their Los Angeles home, and she will pay up to $25,000 toward his attorneys’ fees.
Reports of the couple’s divorce were making the rounds on the Internet in the past months.
Ariana’s solo appearance at the Wimbledon men’s singles final on Sunday started another round of controversy after she was seen without her wedding ring.
Page Six, an independent British publication on celebrity news confirmed on Monday that the actress’ marriage has ended.
According to court papers, they had a pre-nuptial agreement, had no children and had no significant legal disputes in the split, allowing it to move quickly and cleanly through the court system.
The terms of their settlement were agreed upon in October, they had only to wait the required six months before a judge’s order could take effect.
Ariana, who has an estimated net worth of $240 million, separated from her spouse two years after they secretly tied knot.
