The lavish spending of a group of businessmen at a burial party sparks a debate on social media amidst the current economic crisis.
A video making the rounds on social showcased the display of wealth among a group of individuals who made sure the less privileged were oppressed.
In the video, the Nigerian Igbo men celebrated the transition of their beloved with money falling from every corner of the party’s dance floor.
Bales upon bales of N200 and N500 notes were the major demonisation spent at the party, leaving some media users curious about their source of wealth.
Some suggested that the lavishness was unnecessary while others lovers the style of spending despite the country’s hardship.
