Adamawa government adds N10,000 to NYSC monthly allowance
Adamawa state governor, Ahmadu Fintiri, has approved the increase in allowance for National Youth Service corp members serving in the state.
The governor announced on Tuesday, Nov. 28 that corp members are to get additional N10,000 from January next year.
Fintiri spoke during the 2023 swearing-in ceremony of members of the Batch C Stream 2 deployment, comprising 1,340 corps members posted to the state.
He said the measure is part of the magnanimity of his administration to cushion the effect of fuel subsidy removal.
“My dear compatriots, congratulations on your successful graduation from your respective institutions of learning which qualified you for mobilization into this noble scheme… Grab this golden opportunity with both hands,” he added.
The Commissioner of Youths and Sports who doubles as the State Chairman NYSC Governing Board, Wali Yakubu encouraged the corps members to choose wisely from the various skill sets offered by the scheme, participate fully in all training sessions, and strive to be job creators in the end.
