Renowned Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie opens up on why he stopped checking in on Genevieve Nnaji despite being his favourite in the industry.

In an interview with the media personality, Chude Jideonwo, the veteran actor expressed his affection for Genevieve, stating that out of all the young women he has portrayed a fatherly figure for in movies, she holds a special place in his heart.

However, he insisted on avoiding her, as he had attempted to reach out severally when he learned about her health challenge, but to no avail.

Despite this, Pete Edochie had nothing but praise for Genevieve, describing her as an exceptionally brilliant lady.

In his words,

“Of all the girls that have played my daughters in movies, Genevieve is the one I love most. I look at her as my daughter and she took me as her father. And she is a brilliant lady, an exceptionally brilliant lady and I haven’t heard a lot from her lately. Ever since I heard that she is a little disturbed, I hope that she calls me and tell me she is okay. I wouldn’t try calling her again, I tried.”
