You can’t score – Ten Hag warns Martial ahead of Man Utd vs Chelsea
Manchester United manager, Erik Ten Hag has said Anthony Martial’s biggest problem is his fitness issues..
Ten Hag’s comments come amid suggestions that Martial could be sold in the summer.
The Dutch manager, speaking to the media on Wednesday ahead of Chelsea’s visit, dismissed suggestions he wants to get rid of Martial in the summer.
However, he admitted that the Frenchman cannot score enough because he is barely in the team.
“No (he does not want to get rid of Martial). If you are not available, you can’t score.
“When he was available we played better, the team is winning games, he’s also scoring goals but he has to be available,” Ten Hag said.
