Reason Why Burna Boy and I don’t talk like before – Davido spills

Award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke known by his stage name, Davido, has opened up about his relationship with his colleague, Damini Ogulu aka Burna Boy.

He said that they used to be very close friends but that is no longer the case as they hardly talk nowadays.

Davido, who was interviewed by Ebro on the Morning Show on Hot 97FM, New York, United States, however, said that he and Burna are on good terms.

The DMW boss revealed that the ‘Last Last’ crooner still checks up on him from time to time, especially during and after his mourning period.

Speaking on unity among Afrobeats artistes, OBO said; “Afrobeats [artists] we are in unity. I spoke to Burna [Boy]. He called me. He calls me as well but we’ve not really spoken like that.”

On whether he plans to resolve his issues with the self acclaimed African Giant, Davido said;“I think I definitely would. He [Burna Boy] called me. Wiz [Kid] called me. And funny enough, me and Burna used to be mad close. Very very close.”

Edujandon.com recalls that Davido and Burna Boy’s relationship went sour in 2020, after a clash at a night club in Ghana.

Interestingly, Davido said the heated exchange from that fateful night did not involve either of them as it was their crew members that were fighting.

“Funny enough, it wasn’t even us. It was our people [team]. It was crazy because it didn’t even involve us,” he said.
