Manchester United striker, Marcus Rashford has told manager Erik ten Hag where he prefers to play in the club’s attack following their Premier League 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest on Tuesday night..

A goal each from Rashford, Anthony Martial and Fred gave Man United a comfortable victory against Nottingham Forest at Old Trafford.

Rashford started out wide against Nottingham Forest, but Ten Hag moved him up top immediately after Martial was subbed off.

Speaking on his preferred position after the match, Rashford told Amazon Prime: “I think it depends on opposition, it depends on the personality you are playing against.

“More often than not, I prefer to play on the left, but if there is a weakness in the middle or if there is a certain player I feel I can exploit, I like to have the freedom to move and do that.

“I feel comfortable in those positions, and I want to score goals. Every forward has a number they want to try and reach.

“For me, it is to score more than I have ever scored in a season, so for me, I think it is 22, 23.”
