One of the leading presidential candidates for the 2023 general election, Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate has boasted that he is the next president of Nigeria, stating there are no two ways about it.

Edujandon.com reports that the former governor of Lagos State stated that to the best of his knowledge there is no opposition to his ambition to be the president of Nigeria come 2023.

Tinubu said the presidential candidates of the other parties are only using the privilege provided in the constitution of Nigeria 1999, amended 2011, to try their luck.

The APC presidential candidate further added that he alone among all the contestants for the 2023 election has the pragmatic knowledge, understanding and experience to replace President Buhari and fix up the challenges facing the country.

“Insha Allah, I am the next President of Nigeria, no two ways about it. It’s already clear that Nigerians all over the country are strongly behind me right from the East, West North and South. I have no rival and I don’t see any rival at all in the forthcoming elections. All I see is noise makers, people without political structures and baby politicians running up and down simply because the constitution gave them the privilege to try their luck via contesting for an election,” he said.

Bola added, “Nigeria is in need of a pragmatic leader with pragmatic knowledge and understanding of their needs and that person is me.”

This was contained in a statement released by the Tinubu Network Organization, a campaign support group for the APC presidential candidate on their Twitter handle.

Tinubu further added that those insisting on his appearance for a live or television interview should know that he is contesting for the president of Nigeria and not the media president.

“Asking me why I have not granted any live interview since my emergence as our party flag bearer, to me is never an issue of discourse especially now that our nation is yearning for a good leader that will take over from Mr. President and continue his good legacy.

“I am not going to Aso Villa to represent the Nigerian Broadcasting Cooperation, neither am I going there to represent the Nigerian Journalists, rather I am going there to represent the people of Nigeria in the international community as their President,” he added.

He further asked, “Is Live Television a guarantee to win to become Nigeria president? Is never a guarantee and will never be.”

The former Lagos State governor said he is not against those who have seen the media as a way tp publicize themselves: “I am not against those going to them for interview. They are free to go but as for me, nobody will tell me what to do or what not to do. They don’t own me.”

He said their decision to frequent the media was because they do not have the political structure which he has. He added that he was confident his opposition will not able to win two polling units in their states.

The tweet which has now been deleted by the TNO quoted Tinubu as stating that he was fully prepared ahead of the 2023 election and is afraid of any opposition because he has the structure, mechanism and the expertise needed to win the 2023 election.

“All I know is that I am fully prepared ahead of the 2023 election. I have the Structure, the mechanism, the experience and expertise to the election. Those going to media are those without political structure and cannot win more than two polling units in their State, that is why they are busy running after the media to help publicize them and make them famous. That’s all.

The All Progressives Congress presidential candidate will be contesting against the Labour Party candidate, Peter Obi and the Peoples Democratic Party candidate Atiku Abubakar.
