Ebonyi Ebubeagu operative Sunday Izhikpa shot dead
A member of the Ebubeagu South-East Security Outfit in Ebonyi, Sunday Izhikpa, has been killed by suspected gunmen at his duty post in Mkpuma Ekwa-Oku, Izzi Local Government Area of the state..
Izhikpa was shot dead in the early hours of Friday by the alleged gunmen
His death was confirmed by SP Chris Anyanwu, the spokesperson of the state police command, today.
Anyanwu said; “Yes, I called a member of Ebubeagu and he said that the attack was true”.
A resident in the area, Mr Victor Ogbaga, who spoke with newsmen in Abakaliki, said Sunday Izhikpa was a native of Nduakparata Igbeagu in the area.
“He was killed by the gunmen at his duty post, Mkpuma Ekwa-Oku in Izzi. The corpse of the victim has been evacuated from the scene, where he was murdered this morning,” Ogbaga stated.
