The two fighters put forth their views in a press conference and then took to the scale before a face-off.

Usman, wearing a green suit representing Nigeria, reiterated Edwards’ desire to break the spirit of his 2015 unanimous decision victory.

Following his face-off with Edwards, Usman teamed up with a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for Utah Jazz Udoka Azubuike.

The main event at UFC 278 will take place at the Utah Jazz’s Vivint Arena home in Salt Lake City.

Azubuike was one-on-one to support his compatriot and traded the jersey with Usman.

Osman asked Azubuike if he was Nigerian and the Jazz Center replied that he was born in a West African country before moving to the United States (USA).

Utah Jazz posted a video and photos of the meeting between Osman and Azubuike.

The photos were accompanied by a message that read, “Doc met @usman84kg on Saturday at the @ufc World Welterweight Championship @vivintarena and swapped some gear with the champion.”
