Globally recognized singer and songwriter, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, widely known as Wizkid has set a new record with his fourth studio album, “Made In Lagos“..


The multiple award winning Nigerian recording and performing has set a new record and has now become the first and only African artiste in history to achieve an unmatched feat with his star-studded album ‘Made In Lagos’.

The Starboy Entertainment boss on Friday, October 30, 2020 served the music community with the 14-tracked project, “Made In Lagos” which houses his global hit song, ‘Essence’ featuring Nigerian songstress, Temilade Openiyi, professionally called Tems.

It has been records on records for Wizkid since the release of the album. Well, ‘Made In Lagos’ has been certified gold in the US by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) making WIzkid the first African artist to achieve this feat.

The album has sold over 500,000 units making it eligible for gold certification in US. Although several African songs have been RIAA certified, but this is the first time an African album has received such an honor. Congratulations to the starboy.
