TikTok User Gives Testimony After Losing 7 Family Members To Suya Poisoning In Umuahia
A TikTok user has remembered his father and siblings, who died after eating Suya in their home in August 2021.
In an emotional tribute to his family members, the young man identified as @Psalmistnedu thanked God for preserving him and recounted his life since the tragic incident.
He shared photos of his family members who died, in his first-year remembrance of the incident.
According to him, his father and six siblings died after eating the popular barbecue known as suya in their home in Abia state.
Appreciating God for saving him, he revealed that he was not around when his family members ate the poisoned suya and further disclosed that his mother and sister also survived the incident.
On August 25, 2021, tragedy struck in Umueze, Umuakanu community in Umuahia North Local Government Area of Abia State when no fewer than seven people from the same family died after eating Suya with an undisclosed juice.
The father of the house, identified as Mr. Jessey, was said to have bought the suya from where all the family members, including four extended family members who came on holidays, ate.
However, a few minutes after eating the suya suspected to have been poisoned, they started vomiting, and before any help could come, they were all dead except the wife.
