Nephew Of President Buhari Leaves APC After Losing Reelection Ticket

Daura/Sandamu/Maiadua Federal Constituency Representative Hon. Fatuhu Muhammad has left the governing All Progressives Congress, APC..


Muhammad, the nephew of President Muhammadu Buhari, has been unsuccessful in getting his reelection ticket. He received only 30 votes, while Aminu Jamo, his opponent, received 117.

The congressman expressed his gratitude to the APC in a letter to Sarkin Yara “A” Ward’s APC chairman, Daura, for providing him with the chance to represent his constituents.



Despite being dated July 13, 2022, the letter was released on Sunday by Ahmed Ganga, his legislative assistant.

“This is to notify you that I have resigned my membership from the All Progressives
Congress (APC) with immediate effect commencing from Wednesday the 13th day of
July, 2022. Attached herewith is my Party Membership Registration slip with slip No.
KT/DRA/10/00002,” the letter read.

“While I thank you and the Party for the opportunity given to me to serve the interest
of the people of Daura/ Sandamu/ Mai ‘Adua Federal Constituency while working with
the Party, accept my best wishes please.”
