Morocco defeated 9 girls Super Falcons on penalty to advance to final

Nigeria and Morocco’s semi-final clash in the 12th Women Africa Cup of Nations competition in Rabat entered penalty shootout.



Nigeria’s Rasheedat Ajibade was sent off in the 70th minute.

The Nigerians were reduced to nine after Ajibade bagged her second yellow card after VAR review.

Nigeria were earlier reduced to 10 players after Halimatu Ayinde received a red card in the 48th minute.

Morocco equalised against Nigeria in the 66th minute.

Uchenna Kanu had scored in the 62nd minute to put Nigeria ahead earlier.

The game is now 1-1 despite Nigeria being reduced to nine players.

Morocco won the shootout 4-5 to advance to final.

Meanwhile, Bayana Bayana of South Africa qualified for the WAFCON final on Monday.
