“I Am Angry With Peter Obi” – Atiku Reveals, Gives Reason Why

The presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar during his interview on Arise Tv on Friday, 22nd of July, suggested that Mr. Peter Obi denied him needed courtesy during his switch from the PDP to the Labour Party.

Mr. Peter Obi, a former governor of the Anambra State and running mate to Atiku Abubakar in the 2019 presidential election, left the PDP for the Labour Party where he was giving the presidential ticket of the party.

Recall that Mr. Peter Obi in a letter he addressed to the national leadership of the PDP revealed that he was leaving the party over internal bickering and lack transparency in the party’s leadership.

Hence, despite stating that his relationship with Mr. Peter Obi is mutual, Atiku Abubakar claims that Mr. Peter Obi informed him about his switch to the Labour Party three days after he had made the switch. He added that Mr. Peter Obi neither consulted him nor informed him before making the switch.

Atiku said, “Peter Obi did not consult him before leaving PDP for the Labour Party. He only informed me 3 days after”, he said.
