TRANSFER: Dembele rejects Barca’s final contract, puts his house in Spain on the market

Ousmane Dembele has rejected Barcelona’s new contract offer and decided to leave the Nou Camp in pursuit of a move to Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports..

Dembele’s current deal with the Catalan giants is set to expire in June and the 24-year-old has officially told the Barcelona board that he will not be accepting their final proposal.

As a result, Dembele will leave the club after winning two La Liga titles, two Spanish Cups, the World Cup, German Cup and Spanish Super Cup.

According to AS, Dembele has officially told the Barcelona board that he will not accept their final proposal.

The 24-year-old has also packed up his belongs at his house in Spain and put the property on the market as he prepares for a potential move to Paris.

Kylian Mbappe, who now holds power over PSG’s new signings, is reportedly keen for Dembele to join the Ligue 1 side.

He would like to see his international team-mate line up in PSG’s front three alongside himself and Lionel Messi.

PSG is said to be Dembele’s preferred destination but the French international is not short of European suitors. He has also been linked to Bayern Munich and Chelsea.

Dembele joined Barcelona in the summer of 2017 from Borussia Dortmund but failed to initially live up to expectations after being touted as Neymar’s replacement.

However, Dembele went on to rediscover his form and make 143 appearances for Barcelona in five seasons. During that time he contributed 32 goals.

He also picked up six trophies during his time in the Spanish capital and represented France for the UEFA Nations League, 2018 World Cup and 2020 Euros.
