The Abuja Police Command has arrested 3 people in relation to the murder of a female member of the National Youth Service Corps, Stephenie Terungwa, who was killed last month. The Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Sunday Babaji, while addressing newsmen yesterday, said the Maitama Division had on April 15, received information about the body of a middle-aged lady lying on the road. Upon investigation, it was found that the lady was a serving corps member who resides with her lover, Edward Achadu, in the Lokogoma area of Abuja city.

Upon investigation, the police were able to arrest 3 people (one female and two men) in connection with the murder. The Abuja police commissioner stated that the 3 suspects conspired to murder Stephanie so that the female suspect can go back to her old lover, Edward. One of the suspects claimed that he did not partake in the murder of Stephanie, he was only given a sum of N100,000 to transport her corpse to a remote area after she was killed.

The other male suspect revealed that he only helped in tying the hands of the deceased, it was the female suspect that poured a corrosive substance on Stephanie’s body which led to her death.
