BREAKING: Peter Obi dumps PDP, pulls out of presidential race

Former Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Peter Obi has pulled out of the presidential race and dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)..

Obi announced his withdrawal from PDP in a letter to the National Chairman of PDP, Dr Iyorchia Ayu.

In the letter, Obi said he was writing to inform Ayu of his resignation from the PDP, which he had already conveyed to the chairman of PDP, Agulu Ward 1, Aniocha Local Government Area of Anambra State.

“I am writing to intimate you of my resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party, which was conveyed to the chairman of Agulu Ward 2, Aniocha LG, Anambra with effect from 20 May.

“Consequently, I am by the letter informing you of my withdrawal from the PDP Presidential primaries,” Obi said.
