Ghanaians In Tears As Another Terrible Accident Killed Many at Akim Birimso (Photos below)
Five persons have died in an accident that occurred at Akim Birimso in the Eastern region.
Seven others sustained injuries and have been to the Hawa Memorial hospital at Osiem for medical attention.
The Eastern Regional Police Public Relations officer, DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, said the accident occurred about 3:55am Monday dawn.
It involved an Accra-bound Toyota Hiace mini bus with registration number AK 1145-21, which was travlling from Kumasi with 13 persons on board which veered off its lane and crashed into an articulated Daf lowbed with registration number GT3799-16. Driver of the Mini bus is yet to be identified.
The five persons died on the spot.
The bodies of the five have been deposited at the Kibi Government Hospital for preservation and autopsy.
