Few Days After Osinachi Nwachukwu Died, See How Husband Pour Hot Water On His Late Wife (Details below)

The police operatives of the Ondo State Police Command have arrested a man identified as Oluwaseun Ojo after he was accused of pouring hot water on his housewife simply identified as Iyanu.

It was gathered that the incident transpired on Tuesday, 12th of April 2022 in Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.

According to the report, the relative of the victim reported the matter to the law enforcement agencies which led to the apprehension and detention of the suspect.

According to an eyewitness in the community who revealed that an argument erupted between the couple which aggravated to the extent that they were exchanging abusive words with each other.

He added that after the argument, the husband entered the kitchen to boil water and the wife didn’ t know that her husband had a hidden agenda. When the water had boiled, he carried it and pour it all over his wife’ s body.

He revealed further that the wife who had sustained critical injuries was quickly rushed to the hospital for medical attention. She is still at the hospital responding to treatment.

While intervening in the matter, Mrs. Akeredolu Betty, the wife of the Ondo State Governor condemned the heinous act perpetrated by the suspect, describing it as animalistic behavior.

According to the statement issued by Mr. Akinbami Debo, the Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media and Archives, the wife of the Ondo State Governor has given an assurance that she would use her office to ensure the perpetrator is brought to justice.

While advising the women in the state, Mrs. Akeredolu urged them to be wary of abusive tendencies in their husbands and whenever they noticed that their husbands assault them at any slight differences, they should voice out and if possible end harmful relationships instead of enduring them.

In addition, she also condemned the increase of domestic violence in the country, especially the violence that led to the death of Nwachukwu Osinachi, the popular gospel artiste.

The Governor’ s wife while reiterating his promise not to allow the matter to be swept under the carpet had revealed that the case has already been handled by the Ondo State Agency Against Gender- Based Violence, assuring that the suspect would be made to face the wrath of the law.
