We frequently hear about and see people in our community who have become addicted to drugs and are unable to stop using them.
There have also been numerous instances where our celebrities have admitted to using drugs at some point in their lives.
The majority of them claim to have been enticed into drug use by bad friends, while others claim to have been enticed into drug use due to depression or other emotional issues.
A young Ghanaian musician, Dhat Girl, who was invited to the Delay show, has revealed what she has been through in her life.
According to Dhat Girl, she was lured into drugs by one of her friends. She became so addicted to the point that she couldn’t go a day without using drugs.
She explained, “I’m always in a rush to get home so I can do drugs.”
However, Delay who is the show’s host inquired as to how she was able to overcome her addiction.
Dhat Girl responded that it was the fame she gained through music that enabled her to overcome her addiction. She stated that she is now concentrating solely on her music and will not allow anything to distract her.
A few days ago, Dhat Girl disclosed on her official Instagram page that she has put her music career to an end which came as a shock to many of her fans.
