‘Don’t Let Your Marriage Scare Your Friends Away’ – Couples Advised

All couples around the world have been advised never to let their marriages scare their friends away..

This cool piece of advice was given by a renowned Ghanaian cleric, Rev. Harrison who is one of the listeners of the prestigious Joy FM.

This was made known in a recent report by AdomOnline and in the report, the cleric indicated that it is not a good thing for couples to cut ties with their friends after marriage.


He gave several reasons to buttress his submission and in his submission, he said;

“Friendship is very important. You can’t say your husband is your only friend. Friends could be lifesavers during hard times in marriage, and through some friends, doors (of blessings) will open.”

One quotation he gave quoted was Proverbs 18:24 and it reads;

“A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother (NKJV), he contended that some friends are ‘add ons’ in our lives.”

“You have to define the parameters. Friendship is very important and you can’t do without it,” he added.
