Why we forget our dreams after waking up

Most times after sleeping we do remember vividly that we had a dream but then we end up not remembering the dream.

Many have said that this is a spiritual problem but according to scientist it’s totally false. There is nothing spiritual about forgetting your dreams.

The FACT is we forget almost all dreams soon after waking up. Our forgetfulness is generally attributed to neurochemical conditions in the brain that occur during REM sleep, a phase of sleep characterized by rapid eye movements and dreaming. The dreaming/reverie end involves some of the most creative and “far out” material.

And we forget around 90% of our dreams.

So next times you wake up and realise that you forgot your dream, don’t panic it’s not a curse and you are not in trouble. Just go about your daily activities positively.
