The biggest Blue Therapy twist has just been revealed as Paul Bridges says the hit YouTube series is fake – and he’s an actor..

Over six episodes, millions watched as Paul, Chioma, Jamel and Deborah worked through their so-called relationship issues with therapist Denise.

However, viewers immediately questioned whether the series was scripted or indeed real..

Now days after the finale, Paul has released a video claiming the entire series was fake.

In the Instagram clip titled The Unscripted Reality, Paul said: ‘I want to thank you guys for your support. My very first acting gig. This has literally been an experience for myself. It’s been overwhelming, we’ve been able to get millions of views around the world and I’ve never been a part of a social experiment in my life.

‘When I say it’s had so much of an impact that it hit the aunty Whatsapp group, if you’re on the aunty Whatsapp group, you’re clear. So once I got there, I said “we did it”.

‘All those months of practicing. All that bravado I was giving my role. It did trigger people and I apologise for that dearly from the bottom of my heart because obviously I was playing a role that I was given.’

He continued: ‘But at the same time within the whole team we worked so hard and we were able to pull it off. I want to also thank my fellow casting actors, on-screen girlfriend Chioma, Deborah, Jamel. Obviously Denise.’

After thanking creator Andy Amadi and his Trend Centrl production company, Paul said he was glad they were able to touch on ‘serious topics within our community’ and enjoyed the social media debates about the characters.

‘It is such an experience to be part of this, thank you for helping out. In the future, social experiments, TV, shows, hosting, movies, feel free to contact me,’ he said.

Paul’s revelation has received a mixed response from fans with some shocked, others not surprised having guessed it wasn’t real and the rest simply not believing him.

In The Aftermath reunion episodes, his on-screen girlfriend Chioma claimed Paul was in debt and she actually paid 60% of the rent, tarnishing his ‘Paul The Provider’ persona.

‘Very good acting Paul 👏👏👏 I’m talking about this video!’ one follower joked.

‘We’ll [sic] unfortunately we don’t believe you 😂,’ another said.

One weighed in: ‘As soon as she said he was in debt Paul comes out with this.’

However, others were convinced by the performance with one viewer stating: ‘Bro so Blue therapy actually was fake nahhhhh chioma deserves an Oscar.’

‘Wow…I can not believe that was not real…You and the rest of the cast did amazing it reached me & Im in America that was some good ass acting ❤️I’m shocked!!!!!’ another said.

Paul recently spoke to Metro.co.uk about whether the series was real and said: ‘First of all, I haven’t followed any script. I’m not an actor. I’ve never followed a script in my life. So that just gets that out of the way. With Chioma and I, we have our own relationship. That’s that.

‘We have our own understanding of how we kind of handle our relationship, it is what it is. We have a relationship.’

So far, none of the other cast members or director Andy have commented on the genuinity of the series.

Andy did previously confirm that Denise was an actress and Chioma wants to get into acting.
