Remember trending exclusive earlier repported a case about Iniubong Umoren, who went missing after leaving her home to look for work in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has been found dead.

The young woman’ s boyfriend, Uduak Umoh, with confirmed her death in a series of posts on Twitter on Sunday, May 2. According to her, criminals killed and buried her friend.

According to Umoh, the deceased had gone for an interview at an unknown location on the airport road in Uyo, the state capital. A few hours later, he received a frantic call from Umoren and that was the last he heard from her as the phone was switched off.

Responding to the woman’ s cry for help, the police said two persons have been arrested over the incident and the Akwa Ibom state anti- kidnapping squad is investigating the case.

The suspected killer of a job seeker, Iniubong Umoren, Uduak Frank Akpan, was remotely arrested by the Akwa Ibom State Police Command.

The suspect, who paraded alongside her father, said he killed the girl in self- defense and not intentionally.

I invited her for a job and asked her if she could work on a farm as a secretary. I told her I wanted to sleep with her first. She agreed on the condition that I wear a condom, which I did. When I started to remove the condom, she got angry and attacked me. She was bleeding, so I had to defend myself by hitting her, which resulted in her death, ” he said.

The state police commissioner, Andrew Amiengheme, said the press conference was necessitated by the rumor circulating in the media that the suspect had committed suicide in the cell.

“I know of no place in the world where a suspect is allowed to wear pants in a cell to the point of killing himself, ” he said.

“Social media, which is supposed to be a tool that works for the police, has become something that works against them, ” he said.
