“He spent half the night crying” – Roy Keane digs out Bruno Fernandes after Liverpool defeat (Details below)

Roy Keane criticised Bruno Fernandes for his play-acting during Manchester United ’s 4-2 defeat to Liverpool, claiming the Portugal international ‘spent half the night crying on the side of the pitch’.

Fernandes opened the scoring inside the opening 10 minutes but goals from Diogo Jota, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah saw Liverpool leave Old Trafford with three points.
Despite Fernandes being one of United’s two scorers, along with Marcus Rashford , Keane was unimpressed with his involvement in the game.

And he felt the playmaker spent his the majority of his night ‘rolling around’ on the ground.

‘I’ll be critical of Fernandes, he spent half the night crying on the side of the pitch,’ Keane fumed on Sky Sports .

‘Every time he got tackled he was rolling around.’

It was a frustrating night for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s men and he lamented the soft goals given away by his side.

‘When you play against good players and good teams you can’t give easy goals away, especially goals in the periods we did,’ said Solskjaer.

‘We had a good start to the game and we didn’t grab that momentum, we should have done more and just before half-time to concede from a set-play is disappointing.

‘When you start the second half with a goal after 70 or 80 seconds it’s going to be hard. We let them off the hook. It is part of learning for this team. We should have capitalised when they struggled.

‘We want to win every game we play. We were ready to fight for each other and we did but we made too many uncharacteristic errors.’
