If Yobe State Governor Can Do This For The Workers In His State, Then Other States Should Do Same (Details below)

Yobe state government has reportedly adjusted the working hours for the workers in the state.

According to the information made available on Friday, it was said that the Governor, after considering the timing needed by the Muslims of the state to carry out other activities during the Ramadan period.

In the northern part of Nigeria, most states in the region are not in support of work during the month of Ramadan. The workers in these states are used to off working activities during fasting period. Even if they are to be In any activity, they don’ t do it for longer time. They do this in the name of ramadan period.

However, the Yobe state government under the control of Governor Mai Mala Buni, has adjusted the state working hours for all workers in the state. He approved the adjustment paper so as to enable workers in the state to carry out other activities during the fasting period.

Of course, the workers who are majorly Muslims are involved in fasting and they need more time to carry out some necessary assignments needed during the fasting period.

Meanwhile, the government has approved that all workers in the state should resume work by 8. 00 am and close by 3. 00 pm daily From Monday to Thursday respectively. They are to also resume work by 8. 00 am and close by 12. 00 noon on Fridays, throughout the fasting period.

According to the statement made by the governor, normal working period will be observed as usual after the month and period of Ramadan.

The governor had However, directed all commissioners to pass on the information to the workers under them so that the new working hours is put into practice.

If the governor of Yobe state can do such for the workers during this ramadan period, other northern state governors can do same so as to ease Muslim workers’ sufferings during the period.
