GOD IS WONDERFUL: 4 School Children, 24 Others Escape Death In Anambra Multiple Accidents (Photos below)

Not less than four school children were injured in a road accident that happened in a southeast state. The accident reportedly occurred yesterday and it involved two commercial buses and a truck use in transpiring goods at Azia Junction, Ihiala.

Not just that the accident injured four school children, it also leveled 24 people and made them patients. The 28 travelers reportedly sustained deep injuries as a result of the accident.


The incident was confirmed to newsmen by the state Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Mr Andrew Kumapayi. Mr Andrew Kumapayi told Torixus in Akwa that the accident wasn’ t caused by bad road network but because of overspeeding. He said one of the cars lost control and it resulted to nightmare.

Giving details of the vehicle that was involved in the crash, Mr Andrew Kumapayi said a Nissan bus with the registration number ZBL429YG, another similar bus with the number GDD792XB and a truck scripted No. SAG80XA damaged in the cause of the accident.


He also gave details of the injured victims. He said that 18 adult males, six women, two boys and two female children were transported to the state’ s general hospital for intensive medical care.

Onlookers also told Torixus that the accident as caused by the truck driver, who was over speeding. The truck reportedly rammed into the two Nissen buses that were picking travelers at the popular Azia junction.


The FRSC Commander claimed that the injured were rescued by FRSC officers, while eyewitnesses claimed that the 28 injured victims were rescued by road travellers and some residents that witnessed the unfortunate incident.

In conclusion, the commander urged motorist to always exercise patience, avoid speed and to ensure safety while driving on the road.

Police officers reported to the accident scene few minutes after the arrival of FRSC officers. They aided in controlling traffic.
