Federal Government Arrest The Sponsorer Of Boko Haram Insurgent In Borno State (Details below)

With so many efforts that are being put in place by Federal Government in other to end the Boko Haram terrorist in Nigeria, some soldiers have been arrested for having a relationship in funding the terrorist in Borno State.


Today, some soldiers have been arrested in the crackdown on civilian who are funding Boko Haram terrorist, and the identity of the civilian collaborator have also been discovered.

After many investigations the military department was able to arrests the officers that are responsible for the activity, this came after an in- depth investigation into connections between Boko Haram members and military officers, that they helped the terrorist to penetrate the army and frustrate the efforts to end insurgency in Nigeria.

According to Edujandon.com, it was learned that the Federal Government had launched the operation to investigate the suspected financiers and collaborators of Boko Haram early this year, the investigation is being led by some of the top military officers, with the Army General leading the task team with other military operative and some staff of the intelligence services.


According to Edujandon.com, t it was learned that the investigation has to be closely- guarded operation is being coordinated by Defence Intelligence Agency (DIA), in collaboration with the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU), and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

As part of the operation, billions of naira had been traced to some businesses that belong to persons of interest and have been blocked in banks in series of ” post no debit” in the letters sent out to banks by the CBN and NFIU.

So far Twenty soldiers have been arrested in the operation are they are being currently detained in Borno State.

The source said, ” About 20 of them have been arrested in Borno and detained. In the course of interrogation they revealed a lot including the identity of some of their civilian collaborators who have also been arrested, ” a source told Daily Trust.
