In the program, Issues With Jide, the host Bukola Samuel-Wemino made mention of what the senate said recently, that the Nation is under threat from murderous Non-state actors, she then asked Babajide that why has it chosen Non-state actors and who are these Non-state Actors.

Babajide answered and said, “Clearly they were referring to the Sunday Igbohos of this world, the Nnamdi Kanus of this world, the Abubakar Shekaus of this world, everyone who has expressed his desire to have their regions of origin, were being referred to by those senators.

We all know that in the recent past, someone like Sunday Igboho has taken it upon himself to protect Yoruba Land, from people he described as murderous herdsmen. They strive to promote the feeling that the Yoruba Land or Oodua land can do well to stand alone.

So clearly the senators had someone like him in mind, and of course it’s the same attitude that Nnamdi Kanu has. Nnamdi Kanu has spoken many times on the Biafran radio, on the need of South-East to get out of Nigeria.

The other day he addressed his people for more than 1 hour 45 minutes, he was trying to rally his people to confront the armed forces and of course someone like Shekau has never pretended that a country like Nigeria should remain the way it is, that they want to carve out of Nigeria a country of their own, that will be run strictly based on the Islamic code.

They had these people in mind and are convinced that these persons are not pursuing peaceful means, and they are not trying to use peaceful means, to realize their goal of having their regions to get out of Nigeria, so they were referring to them, they see them as violent people, as people who should be stopped, as people who constitute a big threat to the corporate existence.

In a nutshell, Babajide Kolade Otitoju revealed the identities of the non-state actors, that is, those that the senate referred to that served as a threat to the Nation. Babajide referred to the non-state actors as those who seek to carve out a region out of Nigeria, speaking of Sunday Igboho, Nnamdi Kanu and Abubakar Shekau.
