“What I Asked For When I First Met Kenneth Hagin” – Pastor Adeboye Reveals

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has described his first encounter with popular American preacher, Kenneth Hagin.
According to him, he first met the man of God in the state of Tulsa Oklahoma, and amazing things happened when he asked for anointing from him..

He said: “1979, Tolsa Oklahoma in USA, our father in the Lord and five of us went to Keneth Hagin camp meeting. For the first time I saw the lame walking in our presence. I saw healings, I saw miracles. I was a young Christian then, I’ve been reading about it, we’ve been having testimonies of some healing but I saw this raw demonstration of the power of God. So, I made up my mind not to go back to Nigeria without meeting this man. They said it is impossible to meet him and I said, I’m going to meet him. When there is a will, there is a way. To cut the long story short, in one way or the other, Keneth Hagin gave me an appointment. Those of us who went from Nigeria we were many and also from other denominations.

As soon as the people we went together heard that I have an appointment with him, they jumped on the band wagon, we got there and they told me, “We can only give you fifteen minutes” and I said, that’s enough. When we got to Keneth Hagin’s office, before I could say anything, he asked “What can I do for you?” and the people who went with me began to ask for all manners of things. One said, “Sir, I want you to give me permission to begin to distribute your books in Nigeria.” The second one said, “I want permission to be distributing your tapes in Nigeria.” Another one said, “I want permission to be distributing your magazines in Nigeria,” and Keneth Hagin said, okay. Finally, it came to me, the one who book the appointment and Keneth Hagin said to me, “Young man, what do you want?” and I said, “Sir, what I want is, everything that is in you that makes you, you, that is what I want.”

He added, “What do you said” and I repeated myself and he said, okay. He called his secretary and said, this one want books give him books, this one want tapes give him tapes, this one want magazines give him magazines and then, he said they should all go out. Then he turned to me and said, “Young man, kneel down.” I went on my kneels. I saw his hands coming towards me, that’s all I remembered, by the time I realized, I was on the floor, he was kneeling beside me with his two hands on my head and he was praying in the Holy Spirit, seriously. When I got up, I knew I got what I wanted.
